Here it is at last readers my post for Ashley Velez and Jordan Southerland. Sorry for the delay but I have been having technical difficulties lately cause I got a new computer and have been transfering my important documents from my lap top to it. And not knowing exactly where to find everything-lol.

So here’s a little bit of background on these two individuals. If you weren’t already both of thes individuals were in the top 100 of Season 5. Making it to various points in the holly wood week.

Ashley Guadamuz auditioned in San Francisco, CA and her audition songs included Robyn Do You Know What It Takes and Leanne Rimes’ Can’t Fight the Moonlight.

IP: How has the overall American Idol audition process affected your life today?
AG:
The audition in a nut shell has given me an overall attitude of confidence. Being that at the time of the audition I had just passed the age limit of 16yrs old.I wasn't completely sure of what my talent was capable of just yet, that is until I had made it to the top 50.

IP: What is your most notable memory of the audition process?
AG:
I remember while making through the first screening with simon, paula, and randy Simons words were " I absolutely love’d it." and with that alone, just really amped even more me to keep moving on. =]

IP: Are there any idol hopefuls that you still keep in contact with today?
AG:
DEFINATLY! Ofcource, my oldest brother
Freddy Martinez: He had made it with me as well on season 5. (keep an eye for him this year, you mayyyy just see a familiar face ;0)
Todd Slingsby: of season 5. Had gotten cut same round as me but is still working his way to the top on AI this season.

IP: What is the current project you are working on? Music? Acting? Career?
AG:
Well, as of the last few months i had relocated myself to Hollywood, Ca. Within the move I had put together my first singer/songwriter demo which you can find
@ MYSPACE. COM/ASHLEYVELEZMUSIC.

IP: What advice would you give to someone with the dream of being on American Idol?
AG:
Walk into the audition telling yourself that "you ARE the next American Idol" and as easy as it is to doubt yourself, which EVERYONE does... just pull the positive energy and make it happen for yourself.

IP: Who was your favorite contestant throughout the audition process?
AG:
Id definitely have to say vocally, Katherine McPhee.

IP: Who is your idol/role model and how have they inspired you?
AG:
Kelly Clarkson all the way! She has inspired me in soo many different ways, as a matter of fact. I feel that I can relate to her as far as being passionate about our music, to moving from such a small suburban community to Los Angeles to pursue our dreams.

IP: Which idol contestant are you listening to in your cd/mp3 player?
AG:
Kelly Clarkson & Justin Guarini..?

IP: Have you auditioned for more than one season? If so which ones.
AG:
Yes, i have auditioned for it 2years ago and unfortunately did not make it through... but is LOVING the new move surrounded by such talented people with SOO much Opportunities, it really is amazing.
Ashley has an amazing R&B and Acoustic sound so I would recommend you check out her myspace music page. Jordan Southerland also has a very soulful gentle sound to so check out his myspace and youtube pages

IP: How has the overall American Idol audition process affected your life today?
JS:
It Motivated me to keep going and pursuing my music and do what I look to do and not give up. I Do not have a plan "B" . Music is my only plan.

IP: What is your most notable memory of the audition process?
JS:
Freaking out when I made it to Hollywood.

IP: What advice would you give to someone with the dream of being on American Idol?
JS:
Go for it! Be yourself, confident, and show them all you've got.

IP: What is the current project you are working on? Music? Acting? Career?
JS:
Well It's been a few years since I last appeared on Idol. I was 17 years old, now I am 20. Nowadays I am just singing as much as possible and spreading my name as much as I can. I am also really involved on You Tube. I have a channel on there, and it's going really well! I am also currently Involved in a "online singing contest' "Cree Ingles Idol Search" as a judge. It's for singers, who maybe can't attend the "American Idol auditions" or are to young or old. All you gotta do is have a camera or webcam, and thats it.

IP: Who is your idol/role model and how have they inspired you?
JS:
My grandfather, he always told me to go for my dreams and do the best I could in anything I accomplish.

IP: How has past auditions prepared you for this year??
JS:
hahah. I honestly think that preparing for 3 years and growing up has helped a lot. I mean, I am going to be myself and do my thing and make it or not.

IP: Which idol contestant are you listening to in your cd/mp3 player?
JS:
David Cook's cd before he was on Idol. David Cook is amazing and he has an insane! vocal range!

IP: Any other insights and comments
JS:
"Dont stress, just go for it."
