Today's IdolBirthday takes us back to American Idol Season 2. It was there that we first met Chip Days. He appeared first in Group 4 and then was brought back for the Wild Card show where he sang Michael Jackson's Rock With You. You can check out what he's up too musically on his Music MySpace. Chip is a singer/song writer that I expect great things from in the near future. Happy 23rd Birthday Chip!!!

Today's first Idol Birthday takes us back to Canadian Idol Season 1. It was back in August of 2003 that he came in eighth place. Since Idol Mikey has been up to a lot. He has performed throughout Canada and the US at countless events and showcases at top venues. In 2004, Mikey recorded, performed, and mastered his craft in New York City residing in Queens and Manhattan, collaborating and recording with acclaimed producer Glenn Swan of the renowned Chung King studios. In 2005, Mikey finally released his debut EP record entitled "Love Me Again." In 2006, Mikey continued to bring his music into the U.S. performing in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas. He also began to take his music into the international market, traveling to the Philippines, where he was front act for the hit pop girl group, the Pussycat Dolls. In 2007 Mikey was featured in a commercial for MTV Canada & was front act for Christina Aguilera in the Philippines. Mikey's new music video released in the summer of 2008 of the single "If it Feels Good We Should" from his debut solo album "Memoirs of a Super Hero", was released in December of 2008. Finally our last birthday takes us back to American Idol Season 7 where we were first introduced to Ju'not Joyner. Scott McIntyre auditioned for American Idol's 8th Season in Phoenix, AZ. He is the first visually-impaired contestant on the show. He also came in 8th in the competition. And after the show he performed with the rest of the Idols on tour. His post-Idol album, "Heartstrings" was released on March 11, 2010 to Macintyre's web site and to digital retailers. Scott performed on American Idol as well on March 11 to promote his Post-Idol album. The album sold 1,000 copies a week after its release, so far peaking at #18 on the iTunes pop album charts. The 6/21 Birthdays take us back to Season 1 where Christina Christian came in sixth place. Since Idol Christina has appeared on CSI Miami, she has also made her movie debut and has gotten married and has a sun. She is currently in London working on her debut album. Today we wish this rising star a Happy 29th Birthday!!!


The other birthday today is that of Season 8 winner Kris Allen. Since Idol Kris has been up to a lot of things. He's performed on Access Hollywood, Live with Regis & Kelly, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. In '09 He performed at the Wal-mart shareholder's meeting. Allen's self-titled album was released on November 17, 2009. After its first week of sales, the album debuted at 11 on the Billboard 200 after selling just over 80,000 copies. On February 25, 2010, he sang Let it Be for Haiti Relief on American Idol results show. After returning to the American Idol stage for the first time since his win, Allen will hit the road for his solo tour, starting in Madison, WI on May 29, 2010 and ending in Galveston, TX on July 3. He will supplement his solo tour by joining other major acts, including Keith Urban, OneRepublic, Maroon 5, Barenaked Ladies and another rocker "Idol" alum, Daughtry. Joe is currently signed to Orange Freeze Entertainment Corp. and is signed to its independent record label. He is scheduled to release a solo album sometime this year. Our first IdolBirthday today takes us back to American Idol Season 6. It was that year where Jared Cotter made it all the way to the Semi-Final rounds. Since Idol Jared has worked with recording artist Jay Sean on his album My Own Way. He helped co-write the hit Down. Today we wish Jared a Happy 29th Birthday. After packing his bags and leaving Simon, Paula and Randy, Jared came to Fuse and proved that he’s truly a triple-threat in the entertainment biz. He has cranked it with Soulja Boy, performed scenes from When Harry Met Sally for theatrical legend John Waters and hosted shows featuring performances by Grammy Award winning artists Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5. When he’s not on the big or small screen, you can catch Jared on the runway. He most recently modeled in the American Chang fashion show in Bryant Park, NYC. Keeping up with his American Idol roots, Jared can be seen and heard offering his thoughts on the newest contestants. Jared is a frequent guest on Fox’s Good Day, New York where he serves an expert on their segment “Idol Chatter,” as well as on the Z100 American Idol chats with Shelley Wade. This IdolBirthday takes us all the way back to American Idol Season 3 where Diana DeGarmo came in second to Fantasia. Since American Idol Diana has been up to alot of things. After the finale she was signed to RCA /19 Records from which she released her debut single Dreams in June of 2004. Her debut album Blue Skies would later be released that same year. In late 2007 she participated in CMT's Gone Country. It was during this time she decided to cancel her current Pop/R&B album in progress and head to Nashville to explore her Country roots. In 2008 she signed to John Rich's production company and released a Country demo. And in 2009 she released an EP entitled Unplugged in Nashville. In 2006 DeGarmo made her Broadway debut playing Penny Pingleton in Hairspray for about four months. Also that year she performed the lead role of Brooklyn in the 2006 national tour of Brooklyn: The Musical alongside one of her idols, Melba Moore. After that she again returned back to Hairspray for another period of time. In February 2009 she starred as Dorothy in a tour of Oz the Musical, a contemporary version of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but left the tour after its first leg in February 2009. DeGarmo then starred in the musical revue Back to Bacharach and David featuring the songs of Burt Bacharach and Hal David in Los Angeles. In July 2009, she starred as the narrator in the Oklahoma Lyric's Theatre production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat alongside Idol alum Anthony Fedorov. Debuting August of 2009, DeGarmo played the role of Sarah, in the Off-Broadway musical, The Toxic Avenger until its closing in January of 2010. She is currently playing the role of Sheila in Broadway's Hair alongside idol alum Ace Young. We only expect more great things. IdolPhenomena would like to wish her a Happy 23rd Birthday!!!!

Todays IdolBirthday takes us back to American Idol Season 5. It was 1989 when this finalist was born. Since Idol she has been a guest star on the Nickelodeon show Zoey 101, a signed artist to Ne-Yo's Compound Entertainment with a record deal through Island Def Jam and has been feature singing along side Dionne Warwick on her recent My Friends and Me album. She has accomplished a lot these past several years with only more things to come. Below is her performance of I Am Changing which has got to be one of the best performances of that season.
