Carly came in 3rd place in Canadian Idol's 5th Season. Below is her performance of Come To My Window which was one of my favorite performances. I do acknowledge that its just an average performance but I love it just the same. Carly's voice is just so unique and I love her take on one of my favorite Melissa Etheridge songs.

Following her exit from Idol in 2007 Carly has been up to a lot within the Canadian music scene. She released her debut album in September of 2008 called Tug of War. She has also been nominated for several Juno Awards in 2010 including New Artist of the Year and Song Writer of the Year with Ryan Stewart. And at that the Canadian Radio Music Awards Tug of War won 2010 Song of the Year.

Carly Rae Jepsen and Hedley win CRMAs. Therefore congratulations are in order for Canadian Idol alum Jacob Hoggard and Carly Rae. Hedley wins fan choice and Carly Rae Jepsen wins Song Writer of the year. Congrats!!!

Telemiracle’s 34^th Edition just closed raising over $4Million Dollars. The broadcast started March 6^th at 9PM and ended 5PM March 7^th. Telemiracle is a telethon organized by the Kinsmen and Kinettes in Saskatchewan, Canada for the benefit of the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation. The Kinsmen/Kin Canada is a secular Canadian non-profit service organization that promotes service, fellowship, positive values, and national pride. Headliners included country artist Victoria Banks, fiddler Sierra noble and Candian Idol alumi including Carly Rae Jepsen and Matt Rapley.

This past week on March 3, 2010 the 2010 Juno Award Nominees were posted. Canadian Idol alumni Hedley (Jacob Hoggard) and Carly Rae Jepsen are among those named. Hedley was nominated for the following Group of the Year and Pop Album of the Year for The Show Must Go. While Carly Rae Jepsen was nominated for Song Writer of the Year with Ryan Stewart For Tug of War and New Artist of the Year. Congratulations to those Canadian Idol alumni.
